Pregnancy Reflexology will help to ensure you are calm and relaxed and prepare your body in the important time leading up to the birth of your baby.  It is the ideal opportunity for you to connect with your baby and enjoy feeling nurtured, helping to calm and soothe any anxieties and stresses prior to giving birth.

Pregnancy Reflexology

Research studies have shown that women who receive regular reflexology treatments during pregnancy experience significant benefits. These benefits include a reduction in the duration of labour, decreased reliance on pain relief, and a smoother birthing process with fewer complications.

Inspired and motivated by my experiences through three pregnancies, I have undertaken extensive training with experts in the field and have the expertise to safely provide care from pre-conception through pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. I have learned a lot of specialist techniques which enable me to help support you and your growing baby throughout your pregnancy.

Pregnancy and Preparing for Labour

Pregnancy Reflexology

Baby number two arrived on Thursday 7th in the afternoon at 4.04pm! All happened naturally and I managed the birth without any intervention, a little gas and in the birthing pool.  He was quite a big baby, 8lbs 10oz but miraculously I came away without injury or any stitches!  Quite unbelievable considering how traumatic my first birth was from caesarean. It was very quick and intense but it was the birth I had hoped for so very happy. Thank you for all your lovely sessions that supported me to have the birth I have always wished for. H.T

  • Experiencing significant fluctuations in hormone levels can lead to a wide range of emotions, including feelings of delight, anxiety, nervousness, and excitement all at the same time. Reflexology treatments offer a holistic approach to promoting deep relaxation, which can effectively help in reducing stress and calming the mind. This relaxation may also contribute to alleviating any accompanying side effects such as nausea or headaches, leading to an overall sense of well-being and comfort.

  • Maternity Reflexology provides a peaceful opportunity to relax and benefit from touch therapy that stimulates the release of birthing hormones such as oxytocin and endorphins. These hormones not only induce relaxation for you but also reach your baby through the placenta, contributing to their sense of calm.

As you progress into the third trimester, it's common to experience fatigue similar to the early stages of pregnancy, making sufficient rest essential to prepare for childbirth and conserve your energy levels. Reflexology promotes deep, restful sleep and aims to enhance your physical comfort and well-being. It also serves as a valuable tool for nurturing your inner peace, providing support for your emotional and physical well-being, boosting your confidence, and alleviating any anxieties you may have. Additionally, I can customise the treatment to include birth preparation based on your specific needs, further enhancing your readiness for the upcoming birth.
