Going through assisted reproductive cycles can be incredibly tough and emotional. It involves carefully timed daily injections and medications, as well as frequent blood tests and scans to check hormone levels and follicle development. Specialised reflexology protocols can help you manage any side effects, reduce stress and anxiety, and enhance the effectiveness of your medications at every stage of your treatment journey.

IVF Support Reflexology

We are having IUI/IVF/ICSI treatment. How can Reflexology help?

Reproductive Reflexology is a specialist form of integrated medicine supporting all forms of medicated, assisted cycles such as IVF, IUI, ICSI.

This means I understand the details of your assisted conception treatment and have also learnt specialist Reflexology techniques to ensure that I can fully support you through this very important time.

Rather than balancing the body during these treatments we will be working to enhance the efficacy of the drugs that you will be taking.

Receiving regular reflexology treatments is a great way to help you stay positive and calm, providing emotional support through each stage of your conception journey. Treatments help to relieve tension, stress, anxiety and balance all of the body systems safely encouraging implantation and ensuring the best possible start for a pregnancy.

Each client is a unique individual with their own personal history, so treatment plans are tailored to your individual needs based on the information you provide.

If the initial treatment doesn’t go as we hope, I remain fully committed to supporting you through this process. Together, we can work weekly to regulate your cycle and prepare for any further treatments that might be necessary.

  • I serve numerous clients who are undergoing fertility treatments with conventional medical practitioners. IVF support reflexology can be used with conventional treatments such as Clomid, as well as fully medicated cycles of IUI, IVF, and ICSI, including the use of donor eggs or sperm.

This means you can safely enjoy reflexology treatments alongside any conventional medical interventions.

  • Rather than balancing the body during these treatments, we will be working to enhance the efficacy of the drugs that you will be taking. We recommend that we work with you three to four months ahead of assisted conception to fully prepare your body for the journey ahead.

We also recommend that you receive weekly treatments for at least two to three months months after completing the assisted cycle. Following a successful conception, our focus would be on supporting your pregnancy and preparing for labour. If you do not conceive on this cycle, we would recommend treatment to restore a natural hormonal balance to all of your body and reproductive system.

  • Reflexology offers support at every stage of the conception journey, from pre-conception through assisted methods like IUI, IVF, and ICSI. We recommend beginning reflexology treatment three to four months prior to your planned conception date to optimise healthy egg and sperm production. This therapy can help reduce stress and address conditions associated with subfertility, including: -

    • Hormonal imbalances

    • Endometriosis, fibroids, and PCOS

    • PMS and PMT symptoms

    • Sperm quality and quantity

IVF Support Reflexology

“I began treatment with Gemma a few years ago as I was about to go through IVF and wanted to increase my chances of success first time round! From the moment I met Gemma I felt totally at ease and comforted. She really helped me to relax and made the journey through IVF so much easier. Suffice to say my IVF was a success with the birth of twins. The pregnancy massages were amazing and really helped with all those aches and pains and I felt fully relaxed and less tense after each session. The reflexology was also brilliant when it came to pregnancy sickness relief. I have continued seeing Gemma for post-natal massage and she has supported me through this time, I don’t think I could have gone through the past few years without her help. Overall, Gemma is a warm, kind, compassionate lady who is passionate about what she does which reflects in the treatments she gives".
